Happy Memorial Day!

Sorry for my lack of blog posts, but I've been super busy trying to finish stuff up. Obviously the theme for today is Memorial Day seeing as how I have today off of work thanks to it.

Sometimes it's easy to get lost in a holiday without fully understanding the reason for it. Memorial Day is a great holiday to stop and reflect. Even from when I was little I can remember stories about the military. My dad was involved in Vietnam and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't meet a veteran.

What I think it the greatest thing is that when you thank a veteran for the service they have done for the country all they ever say is that it was worth it. I can't imagine being in that position where putting my life on the line for my country would just be "worth it."

All we can do is thank those present and past for what they have done to keep our country the way it is. They put their lives on the line everyday and it's great that we have one day to honor them for all they have done.

Happy Memorial Day to my family and friends who have served and are serving in the military. Your service means more to me than you could imagine.
